During my time at Carbon Revolution, I am most proud of being the principal designer of a wheel set for the Lamborghini Temerario: Alleggerita package.
Debuting at the Monterey Car Week in August 2024, The Alleggerita package includes the set of front and rear wheels, designed and manufactured in Geelong, Australia, as an optional extra to enhance the vehicle driving dynamics.
At Carbon Revolution, we typically receive "frozen" CAD geometry from the customer's design studio. This CAD data has some flexibility to change if the CR design rules dictate it, but our end-result is usually analogous of the original geometry.
Lamborghini approached us with a vague design language for the project, knowing full-well that our manufacturing process and design rules dictate a different aesthetic to a traditional machined aluminium wheel.
The entire team is incredibly proud of the end result for the Lamborghini Temerario. I am particularly proud of how the end-result encapsulates the customer's design language, whilst pushing our proprietary manufacturing process further than ever. The wheel is a technical marvel for durability and manufacturability.
