Mazda Australia later approached Alpine with ideas for a limited edition BT-50 with a premium sound system.
The principal task was for me to design a functional and aesthetically pleasing housing for an Alpine S-series Tweeter.
The main challenge with this project was to design something that was simultaneously robust-looking, whilst maintaining the premium design language of Alpine.
I was further challenged by the original dimensional constraints of the original tweeter pod.

Testing paint and fitment with the black-chrome trim and S-series tweeter.
Tooling constraints meant that the tool created both the left and right tweeter as a family mould. This created several challenges including the fitment of the tweeter. We were not willing to compromise the design and place the tweeter in draft as it hindered the sonic delivery in the cabin.
