Due to the popularity of LEGO, there ARE dedicated modelling softwares, with full libraries of parts, and connective functionality. As a personal challenge, I decided to forgo the software and model an entire LEGO set from scratch in Solidworks. I did this by picking up a pair of callipers and modelling the parts piece by piece. By the end, I became so familiar with the LEGO system that I could look at a new part and not have to measure it before I modelled it. All following images are either rendered in Keyshot, or in-engine screenshots of the Solidworks Viewport.
